Enjoying Work

After completing my first week of interpreting for a 5th grade classroom at Salem Heights Elementary, I am still alive and enjoying work. I am interpreting for two hard-of-hearing 5th graders. This is a slightly new experience because both of my students have a decent amount of hearing, which allows them to do one-on-one work and small group work independently. So what do I do when I don't need to interpret? I work on my French. Not only did the Lord provide a job that I love, He also decided to build in breaks during my day for me to work on French. (For those of you who didn't know, I'm taking a French class on Saturday mornings at PCC. I figured it would be advantageous to know a little more French before I go back to Burkina Faso. If that is the Lord's will for me.) Also, the Lord set up times for me to be still and rest amidst everything going on during the day- my 45minute commute each direction. This week I was encouraged by one of Telecast's worship CD's. Anyway, the staff is really nice. It is just taking a little bit of time to get to know them all, which I had expected. But all-around, it is a great job, and I feel blessed to have gotten this position.
